The following text may be used by anyone wishing to promote the Charles County Holiday Trail.  You may post it, use it in your printed materials, and so forth.

Charles County Holiday Trail - December 5-7

The Charles County Holiday Trail is back for its second year and better than ever!

The trail begins on Friday, December 5th with the Kris Kringle Christmas Market at the Charles County Fairgrounds.  Admission is $1 or one nonperishable food item.  All admission will go to the Southern Maryland Food Bank.  Modeled after the markets in Germany, visitors can expect plenty of food, lights, greens, art, music, shopping, and a living nativity.
 
On Saturday and Sunday other sites on the trail include the African American Heritage Society, Mount Aventine at Chapman State Park, the Thomas Stone National Historic Site, Friendship House at the College of Southern Maryland, the Carmelite Monastery, the Mattawoman Creek Art Center, the General Smallwood Retreat House, Maxwell Hall, Serenity Farm, The Port Tobacco Courthouse Complex (including Stagg Hall and Burch House), St. Thomas Manor, Christ Church, Durham Parish, Christ Church, Port Tobacco Parish, and the Maryland Veterans Memorial Museum.
